Premier League champions Manchester United appear to have set quite an ambitious asking price for midfielder Nani.
According to reports in the Daily Mail, the asking price for the 27-year-old stands between £16 million and £18 million.
The same publication also suggests that Serie A champions Juventus remain eager to sign the Portuguese international, yet that aforementioned fee is a sizeable obstacle with the Italian outfit only prepared to offer half that amount.
Nani joined Manchester United from Primeira Liga outfit Sporting Lisbon during 2007. While he initially showed plenty of promise during his early years at Old Trafford, his form has stagnated somewhat in recent seasons.
With the player clearly possessing a high degree of talent, Nani has become a constant source of frustration to Manchester United fans with his inconsistent form and lackluster displays.
He had featured for the Red Devils eight times in the Premier League under David Moyes this season, with no goals or assists to his name.
Whether Manchester United will be prepared to budge on that particular asking price, remains unclear. With Nani having only signed a new five-year deal earlier this season, it would appear that they have no need to offload him at a reduced price.
