England drop to 13th in FIFA rankings

In the latest FIFA world rankings, England have dropped down to 13th after two consecutive friendly defeats.

England failed to win their last two friendlies against Chile and Germany, having gone unbeaten in the World Cup qualifying stages.
With the Three Lions sitting outside the top eight, Roy Hodgson's men face the chance of getting potted into the 'Group of Death' when the World Cup group stages are drawn later this year.
The first friendly was against Chile, when Alexis Sanchez publicly humiliated the England team - claiming their players were soft before going on to score both goals in the game, with Hodgson's side putting in a mediocre performance against an unpredictable team.
With Germany coming up there wasn't much hope from the English fans, and again England disappointed with a 1-0 defeat, Per Mertesacker scoring a header before half-time.
As England put out a full strength team with Germany fielding a number of players who wouldn't be going to the World Cup later next year.
But recently England have sparked up a few young talents who could make it on the plane to Brazil in 2014, with Ravel Morrison, Luke Shaw and Ross Barkley all grabbing the headlines and playing consistently for their teams.
The top four in the rankings haven't changed, with Spain and Germany making the top two, but Portugal have climbed a place up to fifth and Italy have climbed up to seventh.
England will be having a few friendlies coming up before the World Cup in June, but it looks like England have to sit by, take note of other international side, and hope for the future talent to take the country by storm.
