A Spanish architect has designed a stunning space-age eco-mansion specifically for Lionel Messi in the shape of a football.
Architect Luis de Garrido came up with the design for the One-Zero Eco-House as part of the "33 BIP VIP" series aimed to produce concepts tailored specifically for 33 of the world's biggest stars.
De Garrido's design for the Barcelona is based 36 kilometres north of Barcelona and is designed to reflect the four-time Ballon d'Or winner's interests and lifestyle.
The two-storey circular property features six protruding walls that create the pattern of a football from above, and has a glass and turf roof.
The design shows that the back half of the house is entirely surrounded by a large swimming pool and has wooden decking the entire way around.
The striking house may be perfect for the Barcelona ace, who may find himself in need of more space now that he has a young son, Thiago.
"The homes are designed specifically for each person and are completely personalised according to the information we have obtained from their life and career," say the designers.
Stars such as Angelina Jolie, Barack Obama, Beyonce, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp have all had houses designed specifically for them as part of the project, which is being managed by the National Association for Sustainable Architecture (ANAS) and the International Federation for Sustainable Architecture (IFSA).
