Ozil in action against Stoke
Ozil, who became Arsenal's most expensive ever signing following his deadline day move from Real Madrid, had a hand in all three goals in the Gunners 3-1 victory over Stoke City, but Wenger was keen to ensure that his star would strive to improve his performances that have helped put Arsenal back on the top of the Premier League.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Wenger was insistent that Ozil had even more to give than the three assists he has already provided in just two Premier League matches that already sees Ozil heading the assist column in the Premier League.
"When you look at his numbers, his assists are not a coincidence, they are a reality of his game," Wenger stressed.
"I believe once he is fully integrated we will see even more from him. You could see today he has a good pace as well. At the moment he focuses a lot on his passing but he can create individually as well."
Wenger was not the only one to sing the German praises, with club captain Thomas Vermaelen also praising the speed with which the midfielder has managed to integrate into the squad.
"I must say that he's slotted in brilliantly given that he has only just arrived," Vermaelen put in his programme notes.
"With the midfielders we have and the combinations we can make, passing and moving, his addition gives us something to really look forward to.
"He's hardly had anytime to get used to us but he has had a big impact already-which shows you that he is just a world-class player."
Ozil is likely to feature in Arsenal's next Premier League match next Saturday against Swansea.
